Virginia began her career at just sixteen, helping her uncle establish the Museum of Alekos K. Damtsa in Greece. By the time she completed her Master’s degrees in Art Management at University of the Arts and Contemporary Art at Sotheby’s, she had already turned her apartment into a gallery and was curating exhibitions across Europe.
From 2004 to 2017, she co-founded and directed the influential Riflemaker Gallery in Soho with composer Tot Taylor, where she worked with trailblazing artists like Judy Chicago, Yoko Ono, Martin Kippenberg, and Gavin Turk. The gallery became a magnet for creative crossover. She has also collaborated with The Vinyl Factory on projects merging visual art and music, including work with Grace Jones, Michael Nyman, and Chris Levine.
